Our history

Beginning

The eMarketplace consulting project of Global eValue.com was conceived as an idea in March 2000

product of a vision of its partners of what the consulting of the future should be, when business knowledge and the best management practices interact with the technological possibilities offered by the Internet in those times, in that case a Management Consulting Market-place.

Its founding partners,  former executives of Ernst & Young Consulting, decided to create the business consulting area under the strategic project called  Globalevalue.com . This project was based on the creation of a management consulting eMarket-place where the supply and demand for business advisory services were going to come together in a single place on the Internet, following the basic laws of supply and demand.

First Alliances

The e-Market place was going to bring together the needs of companies for a certain type of consulting service with the consulting companies that met the requested profile regarding price and size of the required service, that is, unite supply with demand. Once the Company-Consultant "match" has been made, the requesting company would be informed with name, telephone number and contact information about which consulting companies could satisfy its consulting needs.

The project was very well received

by Incubators (B22c.com, ITC Ventures), Investment banks (Chase Capital Partners, Citicorp Venture Capital, Antfactory (USA), Boston Capital (USA), Merrill Lynch (Chile), Softbank (Argentina)), The Latin Gate , (Argentina), IRR (Brazil) and technological partners PSINet, VRWeb, Vision 1, Adexus, GTD – Teleductos, Impsat and Microsoft Chile. With some of them, strategic alliances were made.

Participation in Contests

3rd Place in Ideas 2000 Contest Diario Financiero

During November 2000, Global Value Consulting obtained third place in the Ideas 2000 contest, which was sponsored by El Diario Financiero in Santiago, Chile. The contest had a very high-level jury in the national technology, business, banking and consulting industries. In addition, the company participated in competitions in Argentina and New York, obtaining important distinctions.

Professional experience

Although the project obtained very good reviews, signs of support and sources of financing, the partners of Global Value Consulting decided that it was not the time to make such a high investment, just at the time when the " dot-com " industry " had collapsed due to the high speculation existing in the market and the consequent fall of the NASDAQ on the New York Stock Exchange, which ultimately had an impact on the financial and profitability demands demanded of Internet projects being very high. For this reason, the partners sensed that sooner or later this was going to have a negative impact on the demand for online consulting transactions estimated for the eMarket Place.

Participation in Senior Management in important companies

For this reason, the partners decided to freeze the project and return to the business executive line in important national and international leading companies. During this period, both partners had extensive professional experience in different industries such as Manufacturing, Mining, Technology, Agriculture, Pharmaceuticals and Consulting, where they held positions of Commercial Manager, Finance Manager and General Manager.
